MORE INFO...What are Hope Lodges? – Free, temporary housing facilities for cancer patients who are undergoing treatment. They provide a home-like nurturing environment, so patients can get support from others going through the same experience. A cancer survivor’s recovery involves much more than medical treatments; it takes hope to heal. Hope Lodge offers the warmth andsecurity of home in a setting where the love and encouragement of others enlighten and inspire guests. At Hope Lodge, guests rally around each other, building life-affirming connections and lifetime friendships.

Thank you for your interest to participate with this event. We have enough volunteers to split up and do both nights. This is a particular good option because of the limited number of residents who will be there on Friday night. It seems that the majority of residents go home for the weekend. So there may be less than 8 individuals to cook for. (as opposed to 40+ on a weekday).

So our two teams are broken up as follows:

Friday April 4th: (Meal Plan - Parmigian Chicken, Pasta, Vegetables, Salad, Rolls, Dessert, Beverages).
Jerry Birk (Coordinator)
Tyler Lindquist
Dan Edlestein
Juliet Nguyen
Viswesh Bhat
Allison Greiner

Friday April 11th:
Jeff Skwarek
Jenny Patten
Suma Nair
Maggie Herrell
Jen Campione

Please plan to meet at 2500 University Ave SE Minneapolis, MN 55414 (See Map) at around 4:30pm. We can plan to say until 7pm or so.

Each group should plan to designate a Coordinator, Meal planner / Groceries Buyer, Cook, Set up / Prep Crew, and Clean up crew. To start off, we need a coordinator for the 11th, any takers??

Please let me know if you have questions.
