Hey Tyler and Scott, thanks for coordinating! I am in for both the Run and the Barbecue, we can use my truck of course - just let me know. JB
GUYS, I hope we all take advantage of this and participate together. There is nothing better than to rally around a good cause and show that we really want this to work out!!! I am in for the run, a BBQ, and anything else that supports it!!
I tried contacting the following people and hope to here back from them soon:
Rhonda Sowata from St. Andrew’s: 651-426-3261
I left her a message letting her know that we have a group of students that is willing to volunteer for the race and will do whatever is needed to help with the race (pre- or post-race).
Heather from Habitat: 612-331-4090 X638
I left her a message letting her know that we are interested in helping them with the race if they are at all involved with it.
I would love to do it, but I am the best man in my brother's wedding that day. Sorry...
Scott and I met with the organizers of the race coordinators on Saturday We have agreed to take over the on-course race direction.
We have committed to have 6-7 people help out on the course and also to have some people help with registration. Hopefully we can get as many people as possible either helping out with race or participating in it. We'll organize a "brunch BBQ" for our class following the race.
Registration forms will be in the Sphere. Look for a "run for others" brochure.
Also, should we have t-shirts for the race? We could maybe use the class of '09's Vern shirts or create our own....something cheep and fun.
I certainly would be willing to direct runners or help with registration. Put my name on the list! Thanks for coordinating everything guys!

Given that Boston Marathon will happen again next year, I'll be at the 5k after all! I hope the weather holds out for a great morning!
